Conveyance Life Estate Trust

I along with three siblings are named on a life estate trust, granting conveyance of property. If I choose, can I transfer my interest my interest to one of the remaining siblings. Or how do I get my name off the item period?

Transfer or Conveyance of "Life Estate Trust" Interest

I am not sure exactly to what you are referring when you mention a "life estate trust" and would need to review the title history and trust documents before I could answer your question. Generally speaking, interests in real estate are conveyed via deeds which are required to meet certain legal specifications and recording requirements in order to fully accomplishing the transfer. Interests in trust can also sometimes be transferred, but such transfers are controlled by the rules of the trust and several different statutes. Any such transfer can create gift tax consequences, as well as different creditors' rights created, depending upon to whom the transfer is being made and the motivation for the transfer.
