A friend of mine had an affair with a co-worker affair ended and the person she was having an affair with started doing things to make her look bad and kept doing things to make her job difficult until she was forced to resign now they want her to sign a hold harmless agreement what should she do? she has looked for lawyers in the area that practice in this area but she has been unsuccessful in finding one.

There are a number of unanswered questions before an initial opinion can be given. Was co-worker a management employee, did your friend complain to anyone at the employer after co-worker started retaliating and what is the employer proposing to give her in exchange for a "hold harmless" agreement?
