Legal Question in Employment Law in Wyoming

Need to find state laws to validate my rights

My company does not pay us anything over normal wages when we work holidays including Labor Day, Fourth of July, Memorial day etc. we are only closed three days a year (Christmas, New Years and Thanksgiving). Is this legal? I have been with this company for sometime and have never recieved compensation for these days. I have others under me that have not either. I don't know if the reason is that we are a multi-state national corp. if there is some loop hole that we fall under that we do not know of but if not how do we go about getting all that back pay? Also as a supervisor they have made me exempt from any over time pay and I work on average at work 80-90 hours a week and at home 21 hours a week. I am salaried but the compensation is low for my performance and hours worked. Do I have any rights here? Please let me know a.s.a.p.. Thank you all.

Fair Labor Standards Act

The answer to your question depends upon whatyour position is with your employer. The FairLabor Standards Act requires employers to paytime and one-half overtime for any employee whoworks over 40 hours in a week. Wyoming Statutestend to modify that to say over 8 hours in one day. However, there are exemptions dependingupon the job type and duties. For example, ifyou are a doctor, you are classified as a professional, and you are not entitled to overtime.Managers and Administrative people can alsobe exempted from overtime depending upon theirjob category. It all depends on your actual job duties.
