Have enjoyed 30 years of active involvement in cutting edge legal issues. As an accomplished trial attorney, I have litigated many discrimination, first amendment, governmental liability, and religion cases in both federal and state courts. I have been involved in major constitutional issues involving school prayer, freedom of speech, and commercial freedom of speech. I have also enjoyed a successful personal injury practice, winning several record verdicts. As a judge, I have criminal and administrative law experience. As a POST certified police officer, I have worked in the jails and served on the street. As both a lawyer and a judge, I am familiar with trial techniques and procedure.
