Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
i have been called by asst commissioner of police saying that Sc st arrtocity case has been regesterd upon me and my friends,family where as we are sure we have not commited any such crime or even we do not know the caste of the complainent ,also ACP sir told us that just the complainent statement is enough for them to regester a case ,as we have not commied the crime what is the best possible way for us to get out of the sittuation

one has to go through the complaint to ascertain whether offense is made out. secondly, if the FIR is lodged, you might have to seek bail.
