Legal Question in Legal Ethics in India

I have left a company with out serving notice period due to some personal issues and now the company has issued me a termination letter and asking for money as i did not serve the notice period.Please advise how should i face this now..

If the reason for termination mentioned therein is non serving of the notice period then you may not be able to do anything. However it is otherwise then send them a strong reply warning them of legal action to from putting blemishes on your career and character. you may also warn them thru a lawyer and warn them of suit for damages.
