Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I have an Orange farm which is beginning to bear fruits. My village Council has decided to make a road which is to pass through the middle of my farm. Now it will leave me with division of farm into two and lost of 10% of orange trees. Kindly help what I can do to prevent it!

Check provisions of law under which Village Council has such powers.

Generally, any Govt or other authorities / offices under it will not take possession of any land without completing land acquisition proceedings. Check whether land acquisition proceedings are completed or not.

You should challenge the village council once you receive notice from the council to this effect and seek adequate compensation and settlement.
