being sued by apartment complex for not getting the rent in on time

I got a letter on the door yesterday and I have 7 days to get 1700 dollars in for last moths rent, this months and court cost. I am having a hard time getting that money do I need to call a lawer and see what they tell me to do? It says on the letter that I have to submit something in writting with 7 days and sign it and at that time a cort date will be asigned to me. If that happens will I need to find a lawer or will one be apointed to me?

It sounds like you have been served an eviction notice for not paying your rent. You need to contact an attorney as soon as possible to discuss your options.
