Legal Question in Criminal Law in Alabama
Burglary 1st degree & Theft 3rd degree
My estranged wife filed Burglary and Theft charges against me for going in her house to get our dog. Now she said she will drop charges and I don't think she can. Who is right? It's ok to laugh!!

She cannot unilaterally determine that the charges will be dropped, because these are "State" charges and not "her charges" but her influence will probably go a long way towards convincing the Prosecutor to drop the matter.
