Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

post minority support

i have a daughter that is to turn 19 in sept. my ex has filed a petition to modify c.s. and post minority support etc. my daughter has a fasfa govt grant and seperate scholarship through a rehab/tourett's foundation pending.

my daughter recently stayed with us a week and informed us of events related to drug rehab with my ex and they live with grandmother. since this past wed the 20th of may she graduated h.s. and that night the police came due to domestic problem with grandmother with a handgun and grandfather. other issues are there with uncles and drugs and probation. they have always taken me back to modify and at times not been sucessful. visitation was hard and i had all but given up at times. she has stated she would live here to avoid the problems and i will help her. since this fri the grandmother convinced her not to talk and to come back to stay there. i have not been able to talk to her and my lawyer may have informed hers of the events. i guess what i am asking is can i make her live with me because it is safer , more conducive for learning ? and what costs are there if any to pay ? i was willing to let her stay here and pay however necessary in the future even if the grant changes due to my income vs ex's.

Re: post minority support

Because you have an attorney, I would suggest you pose these question to him/her, as it would be unethical from another attorney's standpoint to respond at this stage.
