Legal Question in Personal Injury in Alaska

I was in a car accident two months ago, and was pregnant at the time. The driver has since claimed he was not the actual driver but blamed it on a female passanger who left the scene after a rude encounter with mr and my passenger. Another passenger (all drunk by the way) was also rude and got physical with my passenger (he was male, mine was female). Anyway, after seeing a chiropractor for the last 6 weeks and having our truck totalled by insurance their insurance co now wants to settle. My problem is that I don't want to be ripped off and agree to settle for their existing offer I could get more. Help!!
