Legal Question in Business Law in Arizona

I purchashed a car in May . I traded a vehicle in and put $ 500. with my trade in. A total of $1500. down. This was with adealership. Included on my contract was taxes tags and registration. They told me it takes about 2-3 weeks ror the title and tags etc. I asked when they thought I should recieve them and they said in June. Well June arried and no tags.My temp tag was for 30 days and was running out. I called them and asked if my tags were in they told me that they didn't recieve the title from the auction house they bought it from and that they should be recieving it any day. I had sent them my first payment of $200.00. I called them again and tell them the temp tag is expiring, they tell me that they will try and get me a new temp tag. There is a lot to the story. I called every month and got the same story. I stopped sending payments. Spoke with them and argued with them. In the middle of November they call and said they recieved the title, I asked them to send me my tags and registration, They said not untill I make a payment. I said then send me a copy of the title, then I would restart payments. As of today I still have not heard or seen the copy of the title. On my contract it shows the monies for the tags and registration and taxes. I feel they didnt hold up to the contract,f when I bought it they never said they didn't have the title, and as I stated above that they were waitting for the auction house to send it.I gave them $1700. and each month they either avoided my calls or they would lie some more. They had me call the auction people. I didn't purchase the car from the auction the dealership purchased it and I said this to the owner of the dealership. that was for them not me to fight with the auction peple. Now the car sits . I'm on disablity.

I suggest that you make complaints with the AZ Dept. of Transportation and the office of the AZ Attorney General for consumer fraud against the dealer who sold you the car. You could also contact the consumer advocates at the television stations.
