Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arizona

I had co-signed for a vehicle when my ex-husband and I were together. He has since stopped paying and it recently got repoed and sold at auction. The bank is demanding I pay the remanding balance since my ex filled for bankruptcy. Does my divorce decree mean nothing?

Unfortately, the bank is not bound by your divorce decree. Since this was not only a debt incurred during marriage, you tightened the liability by co-signing.
