Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona

I was at a casino walking around to find a slot to play. I came up to an abandone slot that had credits in it. I did not know at the time how many were there I looked around to see if anybody was walking toward here but nobody was so I pressed the cash button. I was there for about two to three min. as I got the ticket I went to cash it in oh by the way it was 108 dollars I went to play slots for about 20 to 30 min with my money not 108 anyways my son and mother in law was in our hotel there she wanted to play but she was taking care of my son who is 10yrs old so iwent up there so she can play they were all asleep so i had this thick baseball shirt and a mucle shirt under i took it off and went back to play two hours later police came up to me and arrested mei pleade not guilty I requested a video the prosicuter said to call him and he will send it i called he went on vacation his secratery said to fax him the request we did no answer till four day till i go to court he said he will call back its tues.09/14/09 court is 09/15/09 this is my third court date on my first date i got fired cause they needed me i had to go to court what should i do i still think im innosent usually people would tilt a chair against the machine there wasnt even a players card i didnt know it was illegle or i wouldnt hav done it i know thers alot of cameras if they would have asked for the money i would give it back and say im sorry we had money .now i cant afford a lawyer they wont appoint one to me. my wife told me to ask them to dissmiss the case since i didnt get the video i asked and made an effort for it.what do you think i hope you give me an answer soon sorry so late

Sorry, I am probably too late to respond, but it sounds like you were not in the wrong. If not you someone else would have come along and claimed the free winnings. The original owner obviously never claimed it, so it's sort of finders keepers losers weepers. Why you would get arrested for that I don't know. Anyway, maybe you should reapply for a public defender since you lost your job you might qualify. Regardless, I would try to talk with the prosecutor. It does not sound like the kind of case they would want to prosecute anyway (bigger fish to fry).
