Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Business Appraisal in Diovorce Settlemnt

Following 16 years of marriage, I am currently in the midst of a divorce. My spouse is a dentist. He and I both own his practice. My question has to do with the appraisal he had completed on the dental practice to determine how it will be split.

I currently do not recall our purchase price of the practice. We were 1 year away from paying the debt/loan on the practice. The appraisal/selling price of the practice was approximately the amount of $$$ that equaled 2.5 years of our income per our tax returns. Could this be accurate??? The apprasial appeared to be extremely low, compared to what we income we made annually.

I need to determine whether or not to have my own appraisal done on the practice. Please advise.
