Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Arizona

My questions is, last month i put a deposit on a apartment. I was unable to obtain the due to the fact i wasn't able to get out of my lease in my current place. I understand that i cannot owe one apartment and have another. They denied my app because of that, and said a refund will be mailed in ten days. It has not been mailed. I called many times and apparently i had 72 hrs to tell i did not want it. I had to run around town to obtain alot of information they need and work at the same time. They employee told me it up to the manager to approve the refund. She denied the refund putting me in a financial situation. Is they anything i can do. They told i canceled late and i was told they went ahead and denied my app. i look at the papers i have that i needed to obtain and it is the 25th of march and according they paper work i canceled on the 17th. which i remember the 25th stating that i cannot go forward with it because i will have to break lease. Is there anything i can do.

You should go to Small Claims Court and file your complaint to get your money back. You do not need a lawyer in small claims and the filing fee is very low.
