Bankruptcy and Apartment Lease

If I file for bankruptcy can I include an apartment lease that I am currently in (Lease renewal is May 2004?)

You not only can include it, you must include it as a debt.

It sounds like you don't like living there, anyway. An advantage to bankruptcy is avoiding (i.e. getting out of) a lease that's not the greatest. People have also gotten out of car leases in the same way. Of course, they have to return the car, though. Please let me know if I can be of any help. (310) 858-9771
