Legal Question in Technology Law in California

A sibling gave me a computer because they bought a new one and they gave me the one that did not work. so i paid to get it fixed and everytime she is angry with me she threatens to call the police and say its her computer when i paid to get it fixed and she still has the certificate of ownership because she got it from rent a center but when it broke down the company said they couldnt fix it so i found someone to fix it and they gave it to me so even if the cops do come she has no right to it anymore right?

I'm 99% sure the police in any given jurisdiction would tell your sibling that the dispute over ownership or possession of the computer is "a civil matter" and that they're too busy tracking down violent felons. Really, this is the sort of thing that goes to small-claims court, if anything; it's not a police matter.
