I am doing research for a Jerry

Bruckheimer film titled ''Shattered

Union''. I am having trouble finding

a consistent to the following question

and perhaps that is because there is

not a definitive one out there. Is

there a Constitutional law that

directly addresses the following

question. Your thoughts on the

subject would

be most appreciative.

The question is as follows:

1. If a newly elected President (and

others in the line of succession) were

to die before he can assume office,

and his cabinet members have been

announced but not yet approved by

congress, are they still included in

the line of succession?

If time permits, your position on two

additional questions would be

helpful:

1. Clarify Section 4 of the 20th

Amendment, regarding presidential

succession.

and

What is the strict Constitutional

position regarding a state attempting

to secede from the Union?

and

1. Can a state legally �nullify� a

federal law, for instance one

prohibiting secession? (per the

Nullification Crises during the Civil

War

If you're really working on a Bruckheimer film then you should have plenty of money to pay for the expertise you want. This site is a public service and is not here to give free guidance to wealthy filmmakers.

Until a cabinet member is confirmed, they are not a cabinet member.

The civil war.

Only if they win the civil war.
