Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Charges

I requested that a collection send me verification of an acct they were collecting,I recieved a statement that showed some charges, a credit and the balance due which was from the original creditor. I noticed that there was a math error which would change the balance due,I notified the CA by mail and phone of this error and agreed to pay the correct balance in which they refused. I then requested that they send me a copy of the revised statement and flag my CR disputed by consumer as i was told this was a requirement under the FCRA. they have not done so and it has been well over 30 days now. I notified the CRA to redispute this acct & sent them a copy of the statement it is still being reported incorrectly. i just recieved their revised statement today and now the CA has changed other figures on the OC statement to make the balance higher not lower and now they have added interest and wont accept anything less. is this legal? what should I do now please help.
