Can my check be garnished

I have a car that is basically a lemon but does not fall under the guidelines of the lemon law. want to have car surrendured and stop paying on it. i get paid for taking care of someone by the state and make 628.00 a month. can my wages be garnished under these circumstances and be made to pay it.

Thanks for your posting.

Your wages can be garnished by anyone that has gone through the trouble of suing you and receiving a judgment.

Your other options include selling the car, negotiating with the lender to voluntarily repossess the car, bankruptcy, or fighting a lawsuit.
