Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

paycheck garnishment

My paycheck was garnished by The California Franchise Tax board. The only ''reason'' listed on the letter was a code number. That number is:37. Do you know what this code means?

Re: paycheck garnishment

The only reason the FTB would levy your check is if you owe taxes, have not paid them or made satisfactory arrangements, and they have filed a tax lien against you.

Call them.
