Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

verbal agreement with a minor

how valid is a loan agreement with minors without our as parents approval. There is no written contract. They have been making payments but because of my daughters admission of an inapproprate relationship, he has called the loan on the both of the girls cars. We can not get a loan for the cars and nither can the girls

we have offered to give them back however he is demanding money as well because of the value of the cars. This is because he is mad about my daughter telling us and the confrontation now with his wife. The wife I am sure has alot to do with the call on the loans aswell. Where do we stand? The girls are now adults, as my daughter was just 18 when the physcial part of the relation ship started. HELP

Re: verbal agreement with a minor

Attorney Lemmons is correct - a contract with a minor is voidable at the option of the minor.
