Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

An [alleged] online ad posted by me selling an illegal substance in the Los Angeles section of a popular classifieds website was seen by a drug task force in Ventura County. VC cops came to me in L.A. and busted me and now my case is being handled in VC, where I've never been before. How is this fair??? To make matters worse, I now live in OC

Nobody ever said life or law was 'fair'. The law enforcement agencies and prosecutors in this case reviewed the facts and evidence, and filed charges on which they believe they can convict you in an 'appropriate' court. Your attorney will use whatever credible, admissible facts, evidence, witness testimony and legal arguments you have available to defend and represent you in Pre-Trial Motions, plea bargain negotiations, or Trial. His job is to keep the prosecutor from proving his case and convicting you. You should promptly hire experienced counsel local to the court to do so.
