Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I have been charged wuth 496d, receiving stolen property. Can I have legal counsel appear for me without me being present in court?

It depends,if you are charged with a misdemeanor often the court will allow counsel to appear . if it is a felony no.I have practiced criminal law for over 30 years and have represented people in court without them having to be present many times.Barney Gibbs 7148389019.
