Legal Question in DUI Law in California

accused of drunk driving but didn't follow through with the sentencing

Seven years ago I got a DUI in the state of California. I

was told to pay a fine of $1,500, do community service,

and to take AA classess. I ended up moving away for

several years and didn't do anything I was asked to do.

I haven't had a drivers liscence sence then and have

realised that I messed up, and would like to take care

of it. What do you think I should do? Get a lawyer?

What do you think my punishment will be?

Re: accused of drunk driving but didn't follow through with the sentencing

if you did not comply with the terms of the court order, you most likely have at least a bench warrant issued against you. your best bet is to consult with an attorney and take the necessary steps to resolve this unfortunate situation before it gets far worse. an attorney will be able to help mitigate what you may be facing in our out of court if you take action immediately. if you would like a free phone consultation, email us with your contact information today.
