Legal Question in DUI Law in California

When a dui charge becomes a felony?

I was charged with A DUI. My BAC level was .25, first time offender. I was by myself in a single car accident, I was the only one hurt. because of my high BAC will this become a felony charge?

The non-legal answer is that it depends on how the DA charges it, or if he will deal with your attorney. You should seek counsel immediately. I would suggest private counsel in a case like this.

Let's solve Problem #1. Blowing a .25 is a Really Good Clue That You Have A Drinking Problem. The judge and DA are going to want to know what you are doing about it. If I were you I would bring proof of a minimum of two AA meetings per day to your next and all subsequent court hearings until further notice.
