Legal Question in DUI Law in California

What Do I Do

I was pulled over in Lake County Ca. 1 week ago and arrested for DUI although I was told my breath test came back less than .08. I also had a very small (I think-measured in grams probably) amount of marijuana on my possession which was found after my arrest. I go to court in 1 month and I'm not sure what to do. Help. By the way I've never been arrested before and I can't even remember my last traffic ticket. Do I seek out a lawyer for the first court date or go by myself and see what my options are from the court?

Its NEVER too early to consult with and/or retain an attorney in matters such as yours. You should definitely retain an attorney ASAP, at least to review your arrest report and advise and/or represent you from there. If you would like prompt, affordable legal assistance in this matter, contact our Law Firm directly today for a free phone consultation.

Re: What Do I Do

If it was just a week ago, you should talk to me immediately. You have just ten days to schedule a DMV hearing once you have been served. This means that you may have less than a day or two left to request an additional DMV hearing so that you may hopefully have a chance to keep your license.

I have a full schedule tomorrow, please call me at 12 PM sharp and tell whomever answers that I am expecting your call, to please interupt whatever work I am doing to talk to you. Hopefully you still have a chance to see the DMV officers.

As far as your criminal hearing goes, we may have a good defense. These cases require an attorney that knows DUI law. I would be happy to give you all the help I can to protect your rights.
