i am 18 and pregnant and the father wants to continue on with his life. is there any way i can get him to pay child support? if so, how do i go about it?

You will have to file a petition for paternity, to start what is known as a parentage action. I suggest that you speak to the family law facilitator at your nearest courthouse.

Don't waste you time with the family law facilitator on this. The Department of Child Support Services will help you establish paternity and a support order.
