Legal Question in Family Law in California

alimony, child support and quit claim

I did not ask for alimony or child support - can i ask for it now?

If i sign a quit claim on my house, am i entitle to half of the equity, even though it does not state it in my divorce paper.

Thank you

Your question are much too complex to give a valuable answer other than "maybe". Get a consultation with a good family law attorney who can listen to the facts and give you valuable advice. Good Luck, Pat McCrary

Alimony: maybe. depends on whether you waived right to receive.

Child support: Definately.

House: Maybe. An attorney would have to see the judgment and the timing of the judgment and the quitclaim.
