Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Support

I have to pay court ordered child support. My wife thinks that once my daughter turns 18 years old, the child support stops. I believe that if my daughter decides to go to college that the child support continues until she is finished with her schooling. Can you tell me who is right?

Re: Child Support

It depends on your agreement. Normally child support stops when the minor reaches 18 years of age. You may have a separate agreement to pay for college cost with the child's mother.
