Legal Question in Family Law in California

when father/grandparent pick up child

When ther father or grandmother comes time to pick up the child, isn't it a law in the state of california that they must have Insurance... I am just going through this divorce and wondered don't they need this?? I was always taught to have insurance but they don't as they want to save money.

I am not aware of a law regarding the requirement of insurance. However, it is quite common for the court to require that the person picking up the child for a visit must be licensed and the car must be legally licensed. Auto Insurance is required on all vehicles. If the vehicle is not insured in it is illegal to drive it.
