Legal Question in Family Law in California

I lived with my boyfriend and our three children ages 18,16 and 14 until recently he kicked me out . I began staying at my mother and fathers house in the sane city. Within a few days my 16 year old and 14 year old came over here on their own and began staying and eventually they were with me most of the time. I did not interfere with them spending time with their dad.
Because I am on public assistance a child support case has been opened. This angered their father of course. Yesterday he came to my mom and dad's house and demanded our two boys get in his car and go home with him. The sixteen year old reluctantly went with him. The fourteen year old hid in the backyard. It seems this is taking place so hc can become custodial parent and avoid child support. Whar adcice do have for me?
