Legal Question in Family Law in California

My mother just passed and she told me she left everything to me in her will. My siblings, which I don't get along with are cleaning out her house. What can I do if they find the will and get rid of it. Thank you.

This is a great question. The sad answer is that some wills get destroyed, and the court often has to operate under the presumption that either there was no will, or that the testator changed their mind and revoked their will by destroying it. It is for this reason that a will should be left in a safe place for safe keeping. There are laws that make it illegal to steal and destroy another person's will.
