purchasing a home
my girl friend is legally seperated from her husband but not divorced. can we purchase this home without his knowledge or his approval?

It depends on where the money comes from. She can't use community property money unless she gets an agreement in writing or an order from the court.

You probably don�t need his approval or court approval if you are purchasing the home with separate property and not community property money. You really should consult your family law attorney that is handling your divorce before you make such a purchase.
