Legal Question in Family Law in California

Rights to home- home based buisness

Married 15 years and I am 62 years of age. I have lived in this home for 15 years and have worked in our primary residence for 10 years as a beautician. It was his home prior to marriage but is now community property for 11 years. What are the chances of me being able to keep the home and if not will he have to buy me out of the home and the buisness? What is the most likely senario? Thank you very much.

You could probably keep the home if you can buy him out, or he can keep the home if he can buy you out. Otherwise the house will be sold the the equity split. He may get more than half, depending on the equity in the home at the date it became community property. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
