Legal Question in Family Law in California

step parent rights

I am engaged to be married in a few months and my fiance is in a custody battle with his ex girlfriend right now. She wants it put in the paperwork that I can not pick up or drop off his daughter at school where I also have 2 daughters that attend. Once we get married does my rights as a step parent change? right now the court and the mother only view me as a girlfriend/fiance. Does being his wife make a difference?

Does he have an attorney? The attorney should deal with this for him and you. Step parent should be able to pick up and drop off child.
