How do I stop my father's son from taking him out of state?

How do I stop my son's father from taking him out of state? We are not married and have never been to court.

You would need a court ordered stipulation to best protect your custodial rights herein. You should retain legal counsel ASAP before it becomes too late.

You need to file a paternity action to obtain custody orders. Those orders will govern the rules for taking the child out of state. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
