The Civil Index lists all the names of people who file lawsuits, they are called Plaintiffs. It would probably be under your name. You would then have the case number, or a bunch of case numbers of your have a common name. You then ask the clerk to look at the case file. The last document should be an order that your money be placed in a "blocked account." The case file will tell you the name of the bank, you buy a certified copy of the order for maybe $2. You take this order to the bank and they should give you your money. Do not pay an attorney a percentage of the money to get your money for you. If the bank won't give you your money, you might need an attorney, but all you might need is the attorney to write the letter to the bank. If you find the case and you need more help, call me.
