Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

work place bicycle theft

While at work, my main mode of transportation, my bicycle was stolen. I bought it new for $1,500.00. With exrtas the bike was worth close to $2000.00. It was locked up to the bike racks deignated for employees. The bike rack was located approximatley 15 feet directly in front of the main entrance (on same walk way) to my place of employment. I got off work one night and walked out the front door and discovered my bicycle was stolen. The next morning I asked my supervisor if the company I worked for was responsible. She informed me that they were not. That same day I filed a police report in regards to the stolen bike. End of question.

Re: work place bicycle theft

If you have homeowner's insurance or renter's insurance, you may be able to recover part of the theft loss there. There may be a deductible amount that is not insured. Contact your insurance agent to see if you are covered.
