Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Green Card Retroactive Salary

The company that I work for responded to a request of evidence by the DHS during my Green Card process. On that letter they stated that my salary would be raised to the wage specified on the Labor Certification, as soon as my Green Card was approved.

The GC was approved back in April, and finally in September, after my request, they raised my salary.

By law, do I have the right to the retroactive amount from Apr-Sept?

Thanks for any responses.

Re: Green Card Retroactive Salary

Was that something they told you they'd do, i.e., raise your salary upon green card approval? If so, then you may have a contract with them, even if oral. See a contract lawyer for this. I can provide expert opinion as I've provided expert opinion on immigration issues in various litigation.
