permissive driver
i am insured with mercury and was told that whatever coverage i have will be the same if i permit someone else to drive my car. Is this true?

You should address this question with your agent. If none, then you should read the policy concerning permissive drivers. Usually, if a permissive driver who is not a relative living in your home has an accident, he/she is covered. But your best bet is to read through the dense language to find out whether that driver is covered.
