Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

Responsibility of Insurance Companies.

Should We contact an Attorney now that our insurance company did not pay some medical claims they should have paid that were covered. Our company has since dropped them for another company but some of claims have gone unpaid and were turned over to collection even though we were in full contact with them over these unpaid bills. We have done everything they have asked of us and more and now these bills have since been reported on our credit report.WE certify mailed them a letter of this with a request for any answers and what they intend to do about this and received no answers from them. We are in the process of trying to refinance our home loan and this is now causing us some problems with what interest rate we now will be able to receive.

Re: Responsibility of Insurance Companies.

This type of treatment by an insurance company

is called bad faith. It can only be committed by

your own insurance company. It sounds like you

have a strong case against the company not only

for unpaid bills but for damaging your credit.

You only provided a few details about this case.
