if you take a photograph, does the copyright law of the photographer's country apply to the photo or the copyright of the country the photo is taken in apply?

can you get a copyright in a country that you do not live in?

I would say "none of the above." It seems to me it would be the law of the country or state in which an alleged breach occurred. I have not researched this and I could be wrong.
