Legal Question in International Law in California

Removing a minor from the country

I would like to invite my friend to a trip. We are going to mexico, and would like to take her there without her legal guardians. We do not want to be held liable for any accidents or injuries she recieves, and we also do not want to invest in pricey liability insurance. Is it possible to have her guardians sign a release of liability, and a release allowing her to accompany us? What do we need to do to protect our finances in the case that she is injured and begins a lawsuit against our chaperone? Thank You

Re: Removing a minor from the country

Under the best circumstance you should take a minor from one US state to the other but there are no laws or waivers that can protect you from stupidity. If you are smart you'll take your girl freind to Catalina but don't leave the country with her.

Hey Body

When I said "under better circumstance you should take a minor from one US state to another" I hope that you understand that I mean "UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE YOU SHOULD TAKE A MINOR ACDCROSS STATE LINE UNLESS YOU ARE THE LEGAL GUARDIAN OF THE MINOR AND YOU ARE READY TO PROVE IT AS AGAINST A FEDERAL CHARGE (MAN ACT)"

ok!!!
