Legal Question in Employment Law in California

can my boss fire me when i complyed with a earnings withholding order for taxes

the pres. of my company son received a earnings witholding order for taxes, when i gave him his copy of the order the pres.came and told me not to prosess the order.in march i received a call from the state regarding the order, the person from the state told me that i had to comply with the order.the pres. called me in his office with my office manager and began to screem at me why did i process the order that he had told me not to and that he wanted to fire me right now and if i ever did something that he told me not to do that we was going to f---ing fire me. i tried to tell him about the phone call and that i was only doing my job,he did not want to hear anything, and said he did not care who called me that he was the f---ing pres. and that's all i needed to know. i was blown away by the way he was speeking to me and the threats he was making. i do not feel comfortable working here any more and am looking for antother job. i want to file a law suite against him and or the company only after i leave this company because he is the type of person would retaliate against me if i call the labor to complain or if i tell the state that he threaten to fire me if i comply with the order. do i have a case or what do you suggest i do.

I'm afraid you cannot sue an employer for being a jerk. I advise you to get another job and move on with your life. If you know of any illegal actvities, you should tell the state agency that was requesting the information.

Thank you for your question and have a nice weekend.
