Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I was caught stealing from my employer on video, they took me in to the room with my store manager and LP guy, i signed papers agreeing that i did do the internal theft crime and that i was sorry and that i would pay for what i took, which was 17.78, after that they put me on suspension, and the next day i came in to quit. after that when i came in a week later to pick up my last pay check, i asked my store manager what HR had said about my case, and all she said was, well that is why you are getting your last pay check, then she gave me my check and a copy of the paper that i had signed, and nothing from HR, i payed back the dues and left. would this still show up on my criminal record?

Most likely no, unless they filed a police report against you for the theft or you were arrested due to theft. Employment records and personnel files are generally protected by rights to privacy and confidentiality.
