Denied job, after signing an offer letter .. suspecting discrmination

Hello

I interviewed twice with a company. I was offered a job in writing after the two interviews and signed forms ..

During the second interview, the CEO introduced to the president of the company, who asked immediately upon hearing my name:''The accent .. where are you from?''

I answered him that I am from ''my country'' but I have been here for 14 years. He made me feel uncomfortable with his looks and his question was totally out of line, as I felt.

I get the job offer letter and I sign it during the third interview along with the W4, I9 and other forms, etc ..

I was supposed to stop by today to finish the paper work, when I got an email form the office manager indicating that they no longer anticipate hiring me due to ''business slowdown'', which I know is not true because the CEO told me repeatedly that they are hurting for people with my skillset.

I feel that I was discriminated against because of my origin. Could I sue? Is there an attorney willin to take my case on contingency?

Please advice.

before you may sue you must file administrative claims . . . typically you would initially make a claim with the FEHA (Fair Employment and Housing) office near you . . . there are very strict time frames within which to preserve your rights so you must not delay . . . an attorney could advise you on other possible causes of action and could move more swiftly than the FEHA will . . .
