Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Employer has not paid me.

My employer has not paid me. He keeps giving me excuses as to why he doesn't have my paycheck. Is there any legal action I can take to make sure that I get paid?

As Mr. Nelson stated, contact your local DLSE office(Dept. Labor Standards Enforcement http://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSE/districtoffices.htm )to file a complaint. Make sure to include not only wages due and owing, but also waiting time penalties. Your employer is subject to these penalties for each day you did not receive your wages past the required date of pay.

Yes. File a claim with the Labor Commissioner for unpaid wages. Hire an attorney if the amount justifies it.
