Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Harrassment in the workplace

1) I've been working at a medical clinic for two years now without any raises, the management and owner refuses to give me a raise and given everybody else in the office a raise? What can I do? Is there room for suing a manager for not giving a raise?

2) At the office, I constantly get picked on about my weight. I'm a little over weight due to my health issues and people at the office is calling me ''Fat'' or ''Obese'' in front of patients and it's starting to get irritating. What can I do? Is this classified as harrassment in the workplace or is there something else I would call this situation?

Thank you

Re: Harrassment in the workplace

If you're the only female there, then there might be gender discrimination. Otherwise, the only recourse would be to look for and take a new job. Being overweight is not considered a disability. It sounds like they don't want you working there, for some reason.
